This is one of the many images Joseph Kohl has made on the Block. This particular photograph, made on(3/25/01, was imaged with the Nikon D1 Digital camera. He gives a sense of dignity to his subjects yet manages to capture the block atmosphere. I think the composition of this image is wonderful. I love the use of space to isolate and frame the stripper. The inclusion of the Budweiser sign is terrific. The ladies and the Bar owners trust Joe and thus he has one of the most important aspects of all documentary photography access.
