Holidays and Christmas will never be the same at my house. They will just be different. The joy, humor and laughter of Tommy's wildstories and infectious laughter will echo forever in the homes and hearts of all those who shared those magical and precious mements.

There are many memories I cherish of Tom, but the best is of the day "our group" visited Robin at her cabin in Pennsylvania. Tom and I rode in his red truck. The conversation was genteel, even perfunctory, until he slipped in a cassette of greatest hits by Marvin Gaye into the dashboard. It was at that moment that we reveled in our mutual love and longing for the 60's and 70's and the music that matters to us both. Then we listened to Mary Wells and Smoky Robinson. Tom is an artist. I am a curator and administrator. At times it is difficult to break the barriers between those twains in the art world. Tom and I did with all the shared occasions of "our group" (e.g., Christmas at Leslie's) and most especially that day riding the highways and byways of Maryland and Pennsylvania, singing our favorite Motown songs. I am going to miss him because at least he could sing on key. Dr. Lowery S. Sims, Director Studio Museum in Harlem |

He ain't gone! Stand on any street corner-if there is a mural then people are living it. Where did he go?...to my dining room and Leslie's living room and tons of other homes and museums and galleries. He ain't gone! He's just visiting everybody.

What a memorable artist!! I wish to express my sympathy for the loss of the artist who belonged to all of us. No doubt, he will be "upgrading" the furniture in God's mansion and will bring an inspiring look of artistry there.
